Tomorrow night I’m going to be part of a panel talking about art, climate and quote and ratings within the art world:
I hereby cordially invited to tomorrow’s panel discussion “Kunst. Klima. Kwote.”, from 6:30 p.m. at the auditory of the Kunsthalle Bielefeld.
Panelists are Dr. Friedrich Meschede (director of the Kunsthalle Bielefeld), Susanne Titz (director of the Museum Abteiberg, Mönchengladbach), Dr. Rupert Pfab (gallery owner and curator from Dusseldorf ) and I as a visual artist. The panel will be moderated by Andrea Marten of Radio WDR, Bielefeld.
Each of us the panelists looks differently on topics like art, a good climate for art and artists, and the need for quotes and rankings within the art world. We are going to discuss those points from a regional point of view as well as a general issue. I’ll be there for the artist’s perspective, and I’m going to talk about my practice and my experiences.
The Bundesverband Bildender Künstlerinnen und Künstler in OWL, the Open Studios Bielefeld and the Künstlerinnenforum Bielefeld-OWL invite you to discuss these topics both, with the panelists and with each other. Afterwards there is the opportunity to reflect on those topics informally while having a nice glass of wine (even though I’ll go for something non-alcoholic and then a dear friend will complain again that I’ll have to get drunk to become a real artist).
I am very excited and look forward to meet you there!
Hopefully until tomorrow?
