you know these times when life is a roller coaster? Well, add a teething baby and only few hours of sleep per night, and you’ll have an idea of how I live at the moment. Even though I want to write a lot of blog entries about general thoughts about art, about how I work and so much more, I’m just not able to sit down and to sort these things out. Times like this. Anyway.
While I was only able to work for short amounts of time, I though finished a series of 25 bird paintings. I love these small formats. They keep me going when I don’t have the energy to work on bigger artworks, animations or objects. Like all the houses I made over the last years, birds are a subject I often recur to. So, birds.
Birds (without words)
July drawings 2014, mixed-media paintings and collage, 21 x 15 cm each.
I made these little paintings of another bunch of abandoned artworks. I love to re-use the things that didn’t work for me, and to give them a new life by painting, glueing and drawing over them as long as it’s necessary.

I hope you all are well. I think of you a lot, and send you much love!
